Allegheny County, PA: The NAACP East Boros announces their 2017 Biennial Human Rights Dinner on Saturday, September 16, 2017. This year’s event will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, located at 101 Mall Blvd, Monroeville, PA 15146. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a buffet dinner and program. The dinner and program will be followed by a “Mix and Mingle” social, with dessert and dancing, from 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. A block of rooms has been reserved attendees who would like to stay overnight.
Our Master of Ceremonies is Benjamin Butler, retired director of the Pittsburgh Minority Business Opportunity Committee, Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Our keynote for the evening will be Khadija T. Diggs, Assistant Counsel, Governor’s Office of General Counsel, PA Board of Probation and Parole, Office of Chief Counsel. In conjunction with the keynote and dinner, we will also hold a Phenomenal Woman Award ceremony. Fifteen remarkable women from the region will be recognized and honored in a special ceremony for their contributions and exemplary work.
