The Unmarked Gravesite Initiative is a project led by the Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committee of the NAACP Pennsyvania State Conference. It aims to identify and properly mark the final resting places of the women of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion through community engagement research and restoration efforts the initiative ensures these groundbreaking women receive the recognition they deserve.

Support the initiative by purchasing a commemorative T-shirt featuring a photo of members of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, along with a powerful quote from Mary McLeod Bethune: “Faith is the first factor in a life devoted to service. Our hope is that you will wear the shirt during a day of service to restore a 6888th veteran’s gravesite or to a Wreath-laying Ceremony, or any event honoring these remarkable women and their contributions during World War II.
