The Freedom Fund Gala is your opportunity to show your commitment to diversity, to equal opportunity for all, and to help the best and the brightest in our community achieve their educational pursuits.

Dear NAACP Supporter,

On Sunday, October 8, 2023, the Reading Branch NAACP will hold its 36th Annual Freedom Fund Gala at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel.  The annual Gala is the premier fundraising event for the branch. Proceeds from the Gala, fund the year-long programs sponsored by the Branch in the areas of education, housing, economic development, health and political action. The gala provides the organization with the opportunity to invite like-minded partners and friends from the community to learn about the organization, celebrate our successes while we honor the selfless and giving acts of those making and having an Impact on others.

Our theme this year is, “Thriving Together” activists, allies and entrepreneurs from varying backgrounds who are all committed to the same thing.  We are honored and excited to have the Dr. Rodney Ridley, Sr., Vice President of Research, Economic Development and Innovation at Alvernia University as the keynote speaker.  The networking reception will begin at 3:00 pm and the gala will start at 4:00 pm.  Tickets are $75 in advance, and $80 at the door.

Can we count on you, as your giving is key to supporting our advocacy and scholarship programs.  We have enclosed a participation form to select the desired level of giving along with menu choices.

Please complete and return the Sponsorship form, along with payment made payable to:
